Edoardo Benati has been educated at the University of Pisa, at the University of Durham and at the Scuola Normale Superiore, where he is currently reading for a PhD in Classics. His chief interests include the corpus of pseudo-Platonic works, a range of Platonic themes (most notably, issues related to Plato’s reflections on language), Aristotle’s philosophy of science, and the epistemology of the members of the Early Academy (with a special focus on Speusippus). Edoardo Benati is the author of contributions on the Cratylus, the Minos and the textual transmission of the pseudoplatonica. He has given several papers both in Europe and in the US. He is a member of the Project Academy (Durham-Tübingen), of the International Plato Society, and of the Durham Centre for Ancient and Medieval Philosophy.
